The GZE IACV is RS type idle valve that will open is one direction and close in the other by means of two electronic coils, one for "open" and one for "close". But it also has a Bimetal strip that is warmed by the cars coolant, If the electrical part of that valve fails it will still function (with less range) via the bimetal strip, similar to

On 94 - 95 models Ford used the IAC that you can adjust. Just remove the white silicone from the tip of the IAC and use and Allen wrench. Turn inward to raise idle. Outward to lower idle. The IAC works on a Fox TB as well Why the Fox giuys don't use them is beyond me.
All of my emissions passed with flying colors but I failed the test because my AC idle up is always activated (according to the diagnostics I performed with the engine "short circuit" check engine light [code 11]. Air works great but the idle goes down instead of up when I start the AC.
Correct. But the idle up adjustment I was thinking of is on the front of the carb on a 60 along with the AC VSV. The little dial on the 60 amp is for when the ac kicks in(or something like that), but it won't adjust the idle or kick it up.
